***UPDATE July 16: Living Colour will launch a North American date September 1st. Only one Canadian date scheduled so far: the boys play Toronto Saturday October 3rd at Lee’s Palace.***
When they hit the scene in the late ’80s, Living Colour were this incredible fusion of funk, hard rock, rap and heavy metal that was unlike any other band. They hit the big time with songs like “Cult of Personality”, “Glamour Boys” and “Type”, and they went onto win a couple of Grammys. They dropped out of the spotlight for most of the last decade or so but have always remained active. Now word comes that they will be releasing only their fifth album of original material in over twenty years on September 15th. Entitled “The Chair In The Doorway”, the new set was recorded over the last few years. Word is longtime fans will be pleased. Can’t wait.
Here’s a look them performing their early hit “Glamour Boys” last year in Madrid.

I saw them at the Concert Hall back in the day….they rocked so hard, the ceiling tiles fell on the drummer! And he kept going…it was quite the night.
I’ve been wondering what happened to them. Will have to check out their new music when it comes out.
Cheers,
Connie
